Irpinia terroir is particularly suited to viticulture because of its unique pedoclimatic characteristics influenced by the volcanic material of Vesuvius. The Irpinia wine district is characterized by a high variability of soil and climatic conditions due to the presence of the Partenio and Terminio mountain ranges which cross the entire territory.

VINEYARD AND SOIL: The estates for the production of the Mastro Rosso are located mainly on clay soils with a South-East exposure at 350 m a.s.l. on average. The training system is the espalier with guyot pruning system and the density of plantation of 3,000 vines/ha on average and the yeald is of about 8,000 kg/ha (7,140 lbs/acres) and 2,6 kg/vine (5,80 lbs/vine).

AGE OF THE VINEYARDS: On average 15 years old.

HARVEST PERIOD AND TYPOLOGY: Mid October, manual harvest.

VINIFICATION AND REFINING: Classic white vinification in stainless tanks at controlled temperature.
Refines for at least 1 month in bottle.

COLOR: Straw yellow.

BOUQUET: Fresh flowers, pineapple, peach and citrus

TASTE: A good balanced acidity and freshness with notes of citrus and quince.
